Im so sorry I was not able to update yesterday. I was so late going home..and very tired too, I immediately crashed to bed. Hope you forgive me! Anyway, it is “ matsuri ” festival season
all over japan. Meaning???, it is finally summer, hurrah! Of course with it is the popular ” hanabi” or fireworks. I took this from my window last saturday. Yes, there is a small matsuri in
my part of the city. I dont even have to go out to watch hanabi..hehehe! Yesterday, I went out though, thats why I was so tired. Be posting ” izumi natsu ( summer ) matsuri ” photos , watch out.

This is located in front of the akita station. You see that turret looking
structure to the left??, thats the chime from my post 2 days ago. To the
right is ” seibu “, a big store that sells brand name products. I dont
shop there, heheh! But I always drop by the bakery in their basement
level….to buy the best bagels in the city.

Anime has always been part of japans pop and art culture. They are everywhere.
In this case , beautifully decorating a bus. I’ve always thought it funny that
the characters in japanese anime have extremely long legs and very large,
round eyes! They look exactly the opposite. Well, me too! Happy weekend!

Found this accidentally yesterday near the station. I was startled to hear “ matsuri ” festival
music and I looked for it everywhere , not bothering to look up. It was only after I saw some
people looking up that I saw this chime. I didn’t know it was up there although I ‘ve walked
this path many times before. Anyway, its the usual attire of men during the festival here, which
would be very soon.
