February 28, 2007 - Another dark day… (re-post from February 28 2006)

It is cloudy again today! Akita is always like that on winter. For someone who came from the tropics, it can be depressing!! Well, saw this bare tree as I was walking to my gym. It is quite big and if you noticed they had it wrapped with straws. I dont know what for. I think this place is an obosan place being renovated. Obosan is a monk / priest. That tree is kind of spooky but maybe a few weeks from now, it will flourish with beautiful sakura flowers. I will take its picture again, come spring.

February 27, 2007 - The first day ! (Re-post)

Hi ! This is my first post and here is my first photo of Akita City. Akita City is in northern Japan and it is not popular as Osaka, Tokyo or Sapporo so you might wonder where in the world it is. 　 I am not a local so I might not know the story or history of some pictures of buildings . I will try to do some research though, so I think Im going to have fun with this blog. I will come to know Akita City as well, too.
It is still cold out here. Its snowing ( a little ) . This is a photo of Shinkokudo national rd. Its early afternoon so there are few cars aside from the cars that are for sale. As you can see, this road has lots of car dealers. To the left is Daihatsu, right is Toyota. Along the way there is also Isuzu, Nissan and Honda. I love to go car watching here, cannot decide which car to buy. ( in the near future!)

February 26, 2007 - closure

This is my last post! I’m sorry I’m such a lousy dp blogger. I enjoyed being one and want to thank all my fellow do bloggers and some who are always so kind to leave comments.
